Tetra Pak and PET Recycling at HAECO

At HAECO’s premises, Cornerstone has deployed 2‑in‑1 Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) that collect both Tetra Pak beverage cartons and PET plastic drinking bottles, enabling convenient on‑the‑go recycling for staff and visitors in an active workplace environment.​

Cornerstone Smart Recycling provides an easy, visible way for employees and contractors to recycle drink packaging directly at offices, hangar workplaces and canteen areas, instead of disposing of them as general waste.​

We support HAECO’s corporate sustainability and waste-reduction targets by diverting more beverage containers into proper recycling streams.​

Highlights

• Installation of 2‑in‑1 RVMs that accept Tetra Pak cartons and PET bottles in a single, compact machine, using image recognition to identify and auto-sort different packaging types.​

• Simple user journey: insert empty container, follow on-screen instructions, and complete the transaction in seconds, making recycling part of daily routines on site.​

• Linkedin with incentive/reward platforms to credit points or benefits after each successful recycling transaction, further boosting engagement.​ In this case users are required to register as member on ‘recycle-cornerstone’ app, points and transactions will be recorded accordingly.

Impact

• More workplaces and corporate premises, including HAECO, are now adopting 2‑in‑1 RVMs to handle Tetra Pak and PET bottles together, lowering barriers for employees who want to recycle on the move, and preparing for the upcoming PRS scheme. 

• The system increases capture rates of drink packaging, improves material quality for downstream recyclers, and showcases HAECO’s commitment to circularity and responsible resource use.
